Costs
& Estimates
Costs
for a house or commercial history are variable, depending on the
size, age, or anticipated history to be found. Large homes (such
as Embassies) can be extensive, as they were typically better
documented from their construction phase through the secession
of owners and various social uses. The typical rowhouse has considerable
information documented and obtainable, and usually involves searches
through deeds, building permits, city directory's, photograph
collections, and fire insurance records.
In general, our residential house history service will range
from $735 to $2,500. The majority of our commissions are in the
$735-$900 category, and represent the typical small, brick rowhouse.
In
general, our business or commercial building history service will range
from $950 to $4,500. The majority of our commissions are in the $1,500-$2,750
category, and represent a 5 to 7 story substantial structure.
If you are a new client and Kelsey & Associates has already
conducted research on your block you may qualify for a $100 discount
on your house history. To see if you are eligible check here >>
We would be happy to provide a free estimate
for you upon submission of an address. Estimates can be completed by viewing
only the exterior of the house or business, and work can be accomplished
in secret to accommodate commissions presented as gifts.
Costs
for photographic services associated with Local Landmark or National
Register of Historic Places Applications are not included, and
will be estimated separately from the application commission.
At the time of commission, a 50% deposit is required, with the remainder
due within 15 days of report completion. Most small scale residential
history's can be completed in ten to twelve weeks.
